Children's Easter Workshops

Wednesday 8th April, 2pm-3.30pm

'Painting a plant pot' in your own design, inspired by flowers in the garden at Kelmscott Manor. Age guide: 5-11 years.

Wednesday 15th April, 2pm-3.30pm

'Weaving a spider's web' textile workshop. Age guide: 6-11 years.

Fees: £1 per child per workshop (includes materials)

Both workshops take place in the south road barn

Spaces subject to availability

Children: come along with an adult and do these activities together

Note that access to the house is subject to the usual arrangements for general public opening (see 'Visiting')


Young Musicians' Platform Concerts

Continuing this popular series, in 2009 we are pleased to present...

Saturday 23rd May, 7.30pm: Voice, a female a cappella trio performing repertoire spanning ages and continents, including early sacred pieces, European folksongs and madrigals.

Saturday 22nd August, 7.30pm: Castle Brass, a quintet from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, with a programme including Arnold, Byrd, Ewald and Hazell.

Both concerts take place in the atmospheric (but unheated!) south road barn

Tickets: Adults £10 per concert (£18 for double-concert tickets bought at the same time). Children (up to 16 years) and students in full time education: £6 per concert (£10 for double-concert tickets bought at the same time)

Ticket price includes a glass of wine or juice

The house will not be open for viewing coinciding with these events
