Open Season

Our open season runs from April to the end of OctoberThursday to Saturday, with timed entry for the manor house at 15-minute intervals to make sure your experience is enjoyable.

Historic Houses members cannot pre book online. Tickets for the first available slot can be purchased on the day on production of a valid membership card. Failure to bring your membership card will require payment of a full-price ticket.

Society Fellows must sign in at the ticket office on arrival.

Affiliate Members must bring their Society Library cards with them as proof of being an Affiliate Member in order to qualify for a concession ticket. Failure to bring your library card may require payment of a full-price ticket.

Annual Passes must be shown on arrival at the ticket office to gain free entry and you will be able to select from the available time slots to visit the House. *Please note pre-booking is not available for Annual Passes.

Timed Tickets for Manor House Entry & Access to the Rest of the Estate

Your timed ticket slot is for entrance to the manor house only. You can visit the gardens, meadows, shop and tearoom either before or after your timed ticket entry into the manor house.

The estate opens at 10.30am and closes at 5pm. The manor house opens at 11am with last admission at 4pm.

Visiting the Gardens and Shop Only

If you want to only visit the gardens and grounds, entrance is free. Any donations are always gratefully received.
